Technical Notes
The PRL Motorsports Matte Carbon Fiber Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit is designed to maximize the performance of the FL5 Type R intake system and turbocharger. This bolt-on kit increases airflow to the turbocharger, allowing it to operate more efficiently.
This design utilizes a cast aluminum inlet piece, enabling a smooth airflow transition from the 64mm inner diameter compressor inlet to the 80mm outer diameter / 78mm inner diameter outlet of the titanium crossover pipe. This is currently the best-designed aftermarket inlet pipe available, offering a confirmed increase in airflow of over 50% compared to the factory inlet pipe.
This results in improved bottom-end power and faster turbo spool.
Additionally, the matte carbon finish enhances the aesthetics of the engine bay with a racing-inspired look.

Installation Warnings:
- Compatible only with High Volume Intake (Standard / Matte Carbon).
- To use with the factory air cleaner, the Stage 1 Intake System or Silicone Intake Hose Kit is required.
