Inspired by the performance of the XL80, the XL40 brings 5,224 lumens of proven lighting performance to a wider range of bikes. Designed for off-road motorcycles with lower-output stock stators, it consumes only 43.5W, providing a powerful upgrade without putting a heavy load on your electrical system.
Paired with our signature XL Trail Lens, the XL40 achieves a vertical and horizontal beam pattern that offers excellent visibility from close range to your peripheral vision. The Trail Lens redistributes the intensity of the center light, eliminating harsh hot spots and providing a clear view of vertical transitions, steep elevation changes, and tight corners. The result is a smooth, uniform light coverage that gives you confidence on the most demanding terrain.
The XL40 comes pre-installed in a brand-new Yamaha '19-24 headlight shell and includes a wiring harness and switch for easy plug-and-play installation.

〇 About Import Consumption Tax
At Shaft-Ya Shopping Site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there will be no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇 Checking Compatibility
Our entire product database is based on North American (USDM) vehicles. Please verify whether the product is compatible with Japanese (JDM) vehicles before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product fits your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to look it up for you.)
If you order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, make, and model using the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. There may be confusing expressions, so please contact us if you have any questions before placing your order.
○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may significantly differ from the automated calculation in rare cases. In such instances, we will contact you individually via email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international delivery takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow yourself enough time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. All products are transported via air freight; they are not shipped via sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
All products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please be aware that they are not compliant with "Japanese vehicle inspection standards," and we cannot provide documents such as strength calculation reports for Japanese inspection purposes. Therefore, all parts are sold for "circuit, private property, and off-road use only," and installation and usage are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents of your order immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, packaging boxes and products may sustain shipping damage. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for shipping-damaged items, defective products, or incorrect items if notified within 7 days of receipt. Please understand that for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
