Skunk2 Composite Technology

Skunk2 introduces its new series of composite intake manifolds and fuel rails. Skunk2’s new composite components are created using a proprietary casting process and are made from a carbon-impregnated aerospace thermal polymer composite material that is 33% lighter and 60% stronger than aluminum, and runs up to 100°F cooler. Keeping air and fuel at a lower temperature results in a significant increase in horsepower and torque. This composite material is also chemically resistant to all types of fuel, including those containing alcohol.


Skunk2’s new state-of-the-art composite fuel rail is made using our proprietary carbon-impregnated aerospace thermal polymer composite material. This material insulates the fuel from both radiant and conductive heat transfer under the hood. Maintaining a fuel cooler results in increased horsepower and torque. Real-world testing has confirmed power gains of up to 3%. Skunk2 composite fuel rails feature a large 0.625-inch internal bore with radius entries to the injectors, which improves flow characteristics. This type of radius injector entry design is impossible with extruded and drilled aluminum fuel rails (which have sharp internal edges where the main bore meets the injector bore). Skunk2 fuel rails can be used with factory fuel lines and fuel regulators.

    At Shafutoya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there are no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.

    〇Confirmation of Compatibility
    Since our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM), please confirm whether the item can be installed on a Japanese vehicle (JDM) before placing your order. (If you are unsure whether a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to check for you.)
    If you order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
    Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and model using the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit the Japanese model of the vehicle without modification.
    All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.

    ○ Regarding Shipping
    Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. Shipping estimates are automatically calculated once you enter your delivery address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.

    Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm delivery times. Note that all products are transported by air; they are not shipped by sea.

    ○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
    The products we handle are basically all designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please understand that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) system," and we are unable to provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for these systems. Therefore, all parts are sold for use on "circuits, private land, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.

    ○ Regarding Warranty
    Please check the contents of your order as soon as it arrives. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside of Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packing boxes or the products themselves. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement products if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding damaged items, defective goods, or items different from what was ordered. Furthermore, for products sold through our company, all warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through our company." Please note that we do not handle support through other companies or agencies located within Japan.
