PMU16 Power Management Unit by ECUMaster
Race cars are equipped with advanced engine management systems, anti-lock braking systems, paddle shifters, data loggers, radios, electric pumps, fans, and lights. Every component must be controlled at the right moment, and all components require circuit protection to prevent damage and fire. Traditionally, fuses and relays fulfilled all these purposes, but they came with many drawbacks, such as complex wiring, sensitivity to vibration and temperature, and difficulty in diagnosis.
All these issues can be solved by using an intelligent Power Management Unit (PMU). Our newly developed PMU unit is at the forefront of technology. It provides 16 high-current outputs (use multiple units if more outputs are required).
One of the main advantages of the PMU is its continuous current sensing and self-reset function if the current exceeds defined levels. All output status, voltage, and current information can be logged and sent to a dash display via CAN bus to notify the driver of potential issues. An additional benefit of the PMU system is the ability to define the logic that controls the outputs. This is done using data from analog input channels or CAN bus data, and mathematical operations can be defined for each channel.
The PMU is also equipped with LED indicators showing the status of each output. Using a CAN bus keypad or steering wheel switches, all wiring can be significantly simplified and lightened. Two unique features are the built-in accelerometer and gyro for logging, as well as an "inertia switch" in the event of an accident.
The PMU is assembled according to IPC-S-815A standards to ensure product reliability. The device is manufactured on an automated assembly line with optical inspection and automated testing (including burn-in). PCB materials and design, special surface coatings, and an IP65 enclosure guarantee reliability even in the harshest environments. Carefully selected components allow for continuous and reliable operation over a very wide temperature range (AECQ-100 GRADE 1 (-40 to 125°C)).

Before Ordering
〇 Regarding Import Consumption Tax
At the Shaftoya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there will be no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇Checking Compatibility
Since all product databases are based on North American vehicles (USDM), please check compatibility with Japanese vehicles (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure whether the listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you order without verifying compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and vehicle model in the tabs on our home page, it does not necessarily mean they are compatible with Japanese model vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Delivery
Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. Shipping estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the automatic shipping calculation may occasionally differ significantly from the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm delivery times. All products are transported via air freight; they are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection Compatibility
Please note that all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. They are not compliant with "Japanese vehicle inspection standards," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents for such inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding damaged products, defective products, or incorrect items. Please note that for products sold through us, all warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
