Pedal Feel & Brake Performance
The brake feel when using the Brake Booster Eliminator (BBE) can be described as follows:
10–80% Braking Force
Nearly identical to a well-functioning system with a booster, offering a natural feel with no awkwardness.
81–100% Braking Force (Hard Braking)
Slightly more pedal effort is required compared to a vehicle with a booster, but this is where the product truly shines.
It provides highly manageable brake feel, making it easier to control the maximum braking range just before lock-up.
The BBE provides consistent brake feel.
Without the inconsistency common in boosted brakes, you can always precisely control your desired braking force.
With a proper setup, braking distances themselves are equivalent to those with a booster.

Regarding the misconception that "removing the booster makes the pedal too heavy"
It is often said that removing the brake booster
"makes the pedal so heavy that it cannot be used for street or track driving,"
but this only occurs when the design or setup is improper.
To achieve good pedal feel and control, the following three points are critical:
Master cylinder bore size matched to the pedal ratio
Rear brake bias valve
High-performance brake pads with quick bite
Chase Bays designs with these prerequisites in mind, and you can obtain all the parts required for a proper setup at once.
Compatibility with Large Calipers
The BBE is also designed to be highly compatible with large calipers.
In addition to over 8 years of real-world testing, it has been sold to over 2,000 users and continues to receive high praise.
Bigger isn't always better
Increasing the master cylinder bore size makes the pedal heavier.
For example, if you use a 1-inch master cylinder while maintaining the stock pedal ratio
and remove the booster, the pedal will be too stiff to generate sufficient braking force.
Brakes without a booster have a more direct operational feel.
Therefore, problems will be more apparent if the setup is poorly designed.
Relationship Between Pedal Ratio and Master Cylinder
The pedal ratio and master cylinder displacement must always be properly matched.
This directly affects pedal feel and braking performance.
Chase Bays calculates the optimal master cylinder bore size based on the stock pedal ratio for each vehicle model.
For unmeasured models, we may ask for measurements as needed.
Large-bore master cylinder: Stiff pedal, short stroke
Small-bore master cylinder: Soft pedal, long stroke
Optimal master cylinder:
Moderate stiffness with an easy-to-manage stroke
Comfortable for normal braking, requires slightly more leg force only for maximum braking
→ Harder to lock up, achieves high control
Regarding Brake Lines & Single Outlet
This product is not compatible with stock brake lines.
The reason is that this master cylinder utilizes a single-outlet design.
While it is sometimes misunderstood as "less safe" because there is only one outlet, many stock master cylinders also use a single-feed internal structure.
Braking pressure is determined by the master cylinder bore size, not the number of outlets.
Please be sure to use high-quality brake lines and ensure sufficient clearance from moving parts and heat sources.

All product databases are based on North American vehicles (USDM). Please check if installation on Japanese vehicles (JDM) is possible before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you order without verifying compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.

○ Regarding shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may rarely differ significantly from the automated calculation. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
Essentially, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping within Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with ample time. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to check lead times. Note that all products are transported by air. They are never shipped by sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese vehicle inspection (Shaken) compatibility
All products we handle are basically designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not comply with the "Japanese vehicle inspection system," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the Japanese inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "circuit, private property, or off-road use," and installation and usage are at your own risk.
○ Regarding warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival of the product. As all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. We will provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges only if contacted within 7 days of receipt for items that have shipping damage, are defective, or are different from what was ordered. Please understand that for products sold through us, support regarding warranties will be handled "exclusively through us." Please note that we do not handle support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
