Hydro Handbrake Line Kit 1982 - 1991 BMW 3 Series (E30)
The Chase Bays Hydro Handbrake Line Kit is designed for those who want to easily install a hydraulic handbrake on their BMW 3 Series E30 chassis. It comes in two variations:
Standalone Type - Used with a dual rear caliper setup or a standalone rear brake system. It runs directly from the handbrake master cylinder to the secondary calipers on the rear knuckles. We use bulkhead fittings to pass through the chassis metal, ensuring there is no extra path for fumes or weather to enter the cabin.
Inline / Pass-Through Type - Plumbed between your existing rear brake lines to lock the existing rear calipers on both sides. It starts from the factory master cylinder, or if you have the Chase Bays Brake Line Relocation for Brake Booster Eliminator, it starts from the bias valve OUT port. In either scenario, it then proceeds to the handbrake IN port. It then flows from the handbrake OUT section through the rear of the car directly to the calipers. Chase Bays uses bulkhead fittings to pass through the chassis metal, so there is no extra path for fumes or weather to enter the cabin.

Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, make, and model using the tabs on our homepage, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with enough time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm delivery times. Note that all products are transported by air freight; they are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
All products handled by our company are basically designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide documents such as strength calculation sheets for the Japanese inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival of the product. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside of Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. For products with shipping damage, defective products, or products different from what was ordered, we will provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges only if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please understand this policy. Regarding products sold through our company, all warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through our company." Please note that we do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
