BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end-user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron accuracy. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at 0.01-micron resolution. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, can measure 200 parts per hour.
