BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, guaranteed to an accuracy and tolerance within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being put into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked on a high-speed measurement gauge with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measurement heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at 0.01-micron resolution. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
