BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10 of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
