BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. All BC camshaft profiles are prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being put into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. Every BC cam is checked with high-speed measurement gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measurement heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
