BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges for sub-micron accuracy. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10 of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at 0.01-micron resolution. Capable of measuring camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, this model can measure 200 parts per hour.
