BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being put into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10 of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, can measure 200 parts per hour.
