BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before going into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. Using individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, the Adcole camshaft measuring system takes one data point every 1/10 of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at 0.01-micron resolution. This model, which measures camshafts for lift errors and chatter mark detection, can measure 200 parts per hour.
