BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, guaranteed to a tolerance of within 0.02mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower gains before entering mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked on a high-speed measurement gauge with sub-micron accuracy. The Adcole camshaft measurement system utilizes individual measurement heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
