BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user, offering quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measurement gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measurement heads for each cam journal and lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
