BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released into production. Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user by grinding cores in high volume. Quality at an affordable price. Every BC cam is checked with high-speed measurement gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
