BC gaskets are made in Japan and provide the ultimate sealing capability under extreme boost. Featuring individual die-cut layers of stainless steel that offer superior consistency compared to other leading gaskets. These inferior brands are prone to fatigue because their bead profiles are too large, causing them to lose their spring effect and sealing pressure consistency in a relatively short period, which leads to leaks. BC gaskets are made of stainless steel pre-coated with a uniform 0.2-micron layer of nitrile rubber that perfectly fills the cylinder head surface. Even on freshly resurfaced cylinder heads or blocks, which have a surface finish or roughness of 10 to 15 microns, this nitrile rubber perfectly seals the surface at engine operating temperatures, unlike FKM types whose material is not suitable for filling surface roughness and has excessive heat resistance. Essentially, FKM does not melt to fill surface roughness and provide a proper seal.
