In the early 1970s, racing enthusiast Gary Holzapfel noticed that many of his friends' blown engines were caused by fastener failure. At the time, there were no commercially available studs or bolts that could handle this challenge. So, drawing on his years of experience manufacturing fasteners for a major aerospace subcontractor, Holzapfel founded ARP (Automotive Racing Products). In the years that followed, the company grew from what was literally a backyard garage workshop into a highly diversified manufacturer with seven facilities in Southern California, totaling over 200,000 square feet. These include forging, heat treatment, machining, quality control finishing, and packaging/warehousing facilities in Santa Paula and Ventura, California.

〇 Regarding Import Consumption Tax
At the Shaftoya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so you will not be charged any additional fees beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇 Checking Fitment
Our entire product database is based on North American market (USDM) vehicles; please verify whether the product can be installed on Japanese market (JDM) vehicles before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product fits your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you order without verifying fitment, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if items are sorted by selecting the year, make, and model in the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually by email.
In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow yourself enough time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. All products are transported via air freight. We do not use sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
Basically, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents for said system. Therefore, all parts are sold for use on "circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival of your product. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for products with shipping damage, defective products, or items different from what was ordered if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through us, all warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not handle support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
