In the early 1970s, racing enthusiast Gary Holzapfel noticed that many of his friends' broken engines were caused by fastener failure. At the time, there were no commercially available studs or bolts that could handle the challenge. So, drawing on his many years of experience manufacturing fasteners for a major aerospace subcontractor, Holzapfel founded ARP (Automotive Racing Products). In the years since, the company has grown from what was literally a backyard garage operation into a highly diversified manufacturer with seven entities in Southern California, totaling over 200,000 square feet. These include forging, heat-treating, machining, quality-controlled finishing, and packaging/warehousing facilities in Santa Paula and Ventura, California.

At the Shaftoya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there are no additional charges beyond the total amount you pay at checkout.
〇Checking Compatibility
Our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether or not these products can be installed on Japanese domestic vehicles (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to look into it for you.)
If you place an order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, make, and model on the tabs on our top page, this does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of settlement. An estimate for shipping costs will be calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping amount and the actual cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow plenty of time for your order. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Please note that all products are transported by air. They are not shipped by sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
Please note that all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. They are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the Japanese inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranties
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival of the product. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product itself. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding products with shipping damage, defective products, or products different from what you ordered. Please also note that for products sold through us, we will handle all warranty-related matters "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located in Japan.
