TRED has released two new mounting adapters that allow for side or flat mounting options when combined with the TPMK mounting plate. The TRED mounting adapters are made from the same glass-reinforced nylon as the well-known ARB TRED PRO recovery boards, but with an increased glass fiber content for greater strength. This material provides a lightweight and flexible solution that keeps TRED recovery boards within easy reach without obstructing cargo space on the vehicle's roof rack. The TRED mounting adapter system includes all stainless steel hardware designed to withstand any natural environment. The TRED Flat Mounting Adapter was specifically developed to be used in conjunction with the TRED Mounting Base Plate (part number TPMK) to attach TRED recovery boards to 1-inch (approx. 25.4mm) crossbar support tubes beneath a roof rack's mesh. If the roof rack does not have mesh, additional reinforcement may be required to prevent twisting, and the included hardware may need to be shortened for a clean finish.
