BP-51 (51mm bore bypass) shock absorbers feature groundbreaking, patent-pending technology to deliver unparalleled on- and off-road performance. Developed and rigorously tested in the harsh conditions of Australia, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers are equipped with remote reservoirs and can be installed without vehicle modifications. They combine excellent ride comfort on city streets with superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping can be easily adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in vehicle ride and custom tuning to suit specific conditions or vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized coating, providing excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips. Designed, developed, and tested entirely by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, ARB has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring complete control over the manufacturing process to guarantee the highest quality.
