Old Man Emu brings racing technology to your everyday adventures: BP-51 (Bypass 51mm bore) shock absorbers feature innovative, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on- and off-road performance. Extensively tested in Australia’s harshest environments, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs can be installed without the need for vehicle modifications. They feature end-zone damping to provide both a comfortable ride on the street and superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance can be widely adjusted for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in ride quality and custom tuning to suit specific conditions or vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum, with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized finish for exceptional heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. Designed, developed, and tested entirely by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineer team, all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house at ARB. This allows for significant investment in state-of-the-art machinery and complete control over the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest level of quality.
