Developed and extensively tested in the harsh conditions of Australia, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature a remote reservoir and can be installed as a bolt-on solution without vehicle modifications, providing both a comfortable ride for city driving and powerful end-zone damping for exceptional chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is fully adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in ride feel and custom tuning to suit specific conditions or vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized coating for superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips. Beyond being designed, developed, and tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, every BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machinery to fully control the manufacturing process and ensure the highest possible quality.
