Old Man Emu brings racing technology to everyday adventures: BP-51 (51mm bore) shock absorbers feature revolutionary, patent-pending technology developed to deliver exceptional on- and off-road performance. Developed and extensively tested under the harsh conditions of Australia, these large-bore, position-sensitive, bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs can be installed without the need for vehicle modifications, offering both a comfortable ride in the city and superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is easily adjustable across the entire range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in ride quality and custom tuning to suit various conditions and vehicle setups. The main body, reservoir, and components are crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized coating, providing excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips and other damage. Designed, developed, and tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, every BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machinery to fully control the manufacturing process and ensure the highest quality.
