What would happen if hydraulic technology were applied to the recovery sector through engineering ingenuity? There is no doubt that the traditional farm jack is a useful piece of equipment to have when off-roading. It can be used to move a vehicle out of difficult situations, fill voids under tires, or even serve as a bead breaker during tire repairs. However, as you know, farm jacks are dangerous. They are structurally unstable, and there are numerous videos on YouTube of accidents involving runaway handles or hands getting pinched between the handle and the jack body. In light of these issues, ARB's engineering team sought an excellent way to resolve the safety deficiencies of the farm jack. The requirement was for a mechanical jack design that is safe, easy to operate, lightweight, and compact. Adding a new dimension to conventional technology, the long-travel ARB JACK is supported by unique hydraulic technology. It operates with only light pressure on the handle, lifting the vehicle smoothly by 0.5 inches (approx. 12.7mm) with each downstroke. During operation, a black rubber body bumper protects the vehicle, reducing the risk of damage during recovery. With an easily accessible red release lever, lowering the vehicle is quick and safe thanks to a two-stage lowering function and a safety stop feature. The descent speed can be adjusted to be slow or fast via the lever. Designed for ergonomic, safe, and reliable operation, the high-mounted handle and top-pivot function provide the user with maximum control while eliminating the need to bend over. Embodying this high level of adaptability, the JACK is equipped with an adjustable, 360-degree rotating foot, which can be angled to match the terrain to ensure secure and stable contact between the base and the ground.
