Old Man Emu brings racing technology to everyday adventures: BP-51 (Bypass 51mm bore) shock absorbers utilize revolutionary, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on-road and off-road performance. Engineered and rigorously tested in the harsh conditions of Australia, these bolt-on shock absorbers feature a large-bore, position-sensitive bypass design with remote reservoirs that require no vehicle modifications. They provide both a comfortable ride for city driving and superior chassis control and handling for off-road performance through powerful end-zone damping. Damping performance is easily adjustable across a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in ride feel and custom tuning tailored to specific conditions and vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum, with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized finish ensuring excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips. Designed, developed, and fully tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house by ARB.
