Old Man Emu brings racing technology to everyday adventures. The BP-51 (51mm (approx. 2.0 inch) bore) shock absorbers feature groundbreaking, patent-pending technology developed to achieve exceptional on-road and off-road performance. Developed and rigorously tested in Australia's harsh conditions, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature remote reservoirs and are vehicle-specific, requiring no vehicle modifications for installation. They combine a comfortable ride in the city with significant end-zone damping for excellent chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is easily adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant ride comfort changes and custom tuning to suit conditions and vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all made of 6061 T6 aluminum, finished with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized coating for superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. Not only are they designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team, but every BP-51 shock is also manufactured in-house by ARB. To ensure the highest quality, significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machinery to maintain complete control over the manufacturing process.
