Old Man Emu applies racing technology to everyday adventures. BP-51 (51mm bore bypass) shock absorbers feature innovative, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on- and off-road performance. Developed and rigorously tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are bolt-on capable without vehicle modifications. They allow for a combination of high ride comfort on city streets and sufficient end-zone damping for exceptional chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance can be easily adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing you to custom-tune your vehicle's ride performance. The body, reservoir, and all components are made from 6061 T6 aluminum, and a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized finish ensures superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. Designed, developed, and tested entirely by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team, BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house at ARB. This is supported by significant investment in state-of-the-art machining equipment, allowing for complete control over the manufacturing process and ensuring the highest level of quality.
