The OS850 awning bracket is equipped with welded gussets and is designed to provide increased strength when mounting an awning to vehicle roof bars for off-road use and in harsh conditions. It features corrosion resistance through galvanizing and powder coating, and can be mounted upright or inverted. It is 50mm (approx. 5cm) wide and is compatible with Thule SquareBar and Rhino Heavy Duty when inverted, and can be secured using T-bolts or channel nuts for Thule ProfessionalBar, WingBar, AeroBar, and Rhino Heavy Duty when mounted upright. It includes pre-drilled holes for 8mm bolts, and we recommend attaching it to the roof bar with at least two, preferably three, bolts for maximum strength. The outer bolt holes between the gussets must be used to ensure the gussets are fully effective. Three 6mm slotted holes are provided for awning attachment. The 813402 awning bracket does not include mounting hardware. Due to varying bar designs, we recommend using T-bolts and channel nuts supplied by the roof bar manufacturer. Currently in stock, with additional shipments expected in mid-June. The current awning bracket P/No OS3071 was recently upgraded from a 3mm to a 4mm structure, but it remains a lightweight design intended for highway use.
