The advantage of the Air Locker lies in its pneumatically operated locking system inside the differential. When activated, it prevents the internal differential gears from rotating, which stops the axle shafts from spinning independently. By locking both wheels to the rotation of the ring gear, maximum traction is maintained at all times. When disengaged, it operates like a conventional open differential.
