Failure to correctly set the preload on a preload-style adjuster nut differential often results in incorrect preload assembly or damage to the adjuster nut or bearing journal surface. However, since many commonly available adjuster nut tools are designed for specific sizes and shapes of adjuster nuts and often interfere with the overhang geometry of the bearing cap, a hammer and chisel are sometimes used as an alternative. As part of ARB's new range of Air Locker(TM) differential service/installation tools, these pliers have been specifically designed by ARB to easily and safely accommodate not only the entire range of ARB Air Locker(TM) adjuster nuts, but also most OE adjuster nuts, regardless of size, shape, or bearing cap type.
