ARB has developed a recovery point that can be mounted to either the left or right side of the Ford Ranger chassis. The recovery point is designed to be compatible with both the factory stone guard and ARB Under Vehicle Protection. To ensure that improper forces are not applied to the shackle during angled recoveries, the recovery point features a long slot, allowing for the use of a recommended 9500lb bow shackle with a 17600lb strap attached to the pin rather than the bow. This avoids side-loading the pin and distributes the recovery force evenly across the shackle.
