APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirrors are constructed from ultra-lightweight pre-preg carbon fiber and feature a sleek housing shape that reduces air resistance. They minimize drag and turbulence around the mirrors, improving vehicle stability at high speeds. Precision-molded airfoil stalks eliminate turbulence and reduce drag, resulting in a cleaner aerodynamic profile and improved high-speed performance. Built for drivers who demand performance and craftsmanship, these mirrors bring race-inspired design and functional aerodynamic performance to a variety of vehicles.
USPTO Patent Pending
Refinements based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis:
CFD analysis visualizes the airflow around the mirror shape, identifying drag, flow separation, and vortex shedding. This allows for digital design iterations to be optimized for aerodynamic characteristics, proving that the APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirrors function as intended to achieve ultimate drag reduction.
Low-drag mirror stalk design & aerodynamic mirror housing:
Precision-molded airfoil stalks suppress turbulence and reduce drag, resulting in a cleaner aerodynamic profile and improved high-speed performance. The sharper aerodynamic housing edges of the GT2 Aero Mirrors contribute to further drag reduction by minimizing airflow disturbance.
Weight reduction:
Reducing unnecessary weight from race cars is essential for track performance, as it improves acceleration, braking, and handling while reducing wear. APR GT2 Aero Mirrors reduce the overall mirror weight to 1–1.5 lbs per side. The full pre-preg carbon fiber construction helps shed vehicle weight without compromise.
Benefits of APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirrors:
- Reduced air resistance:
Our unique airfoil stalk design reduces air resistance, allowing for higher speeds with less engine power.
- Increased top speed:
By reducing air resistance, top speed on straightaways is improved, which is critical in racing where every second counts.
- Improved fuel efficiency:
Reduced air resistance directly correlates to lower fuel consumption, leading to longer stints and fewer pit stops.
- Enhanced stability:
- Shrink-to-profile design
- Aerodynamic shape
- Vortex control
- Adjustable anti-glare blue curved lens
The design, which improves aerodynamic stability, boosts driver confidence and control, especially during cornering.
Features:
The shrink design minimizes the frontal area of the mirror while ensuring necessary visibility. Furthermore, to minimize the aerodynamic impact of the mirror and achieve low resistance, the APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirror adopts slim stems and compact mirror housings to reduce the cross-sectional area exposed to airflow, which is a source of turbulence.
The APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirror housing is not only compact, but it also uses sharper edges to further reduce turbulence in the airflow. In addition, the mirror stem is not only thin but also adopts an airfoil profile inspired by APR Performance's adjustable wings to reduce separation and vortex shedding. This design philosophy enables a smooth transition between the arm and the mirror head, further reducing interference drag.
Everything moving through the air generates a wake, and it is impossible to eliminate it entirely. Unlike some aftermarket side mirrors that ignore turbulence, the APR Performance GT2 Aero Mirror creates intentionally controlled vortices to guide airflow smoothly along the sides of the vehicle. This controlled wake reduces turbulence around the side windows and A-pillar, improving downstream aerodynamics and overall aerodynamic performance.
Curved lenses with angle adjustment to suit the driver's needs and seating position. (The original electric function will no longer be usable.) The anti-glare blue curved lenses reduce annoying glare while expanding the field of view compared to standard flat lenses. Having undergone numerous aerodynamic experiments by APR Performance with a focus on performance improvement and design, these GT2 mirrors will finally be released in early December 2025.
Before ordering
〇 Regarding import consumption tax
At the Shaftoya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there are no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇Checking compatibility
Since all product databases are based on North American vehicles (USDM), please check compatibility with Japanese vehicles (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure if the listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and vehicle model in the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese models without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually by email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with enough time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Note that all products are transported by air. They are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding compliance with Japanese vehicle inspections (Shaken)
Please note that all products we handle are basically designed and manufactured outside of Japan. They are not compliant with "Japanese vehicle inspection standards," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents for such inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding warranties
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges for damaged items, defective products, or items different from what was ordered if we are contacted within 7 days of receipt. Please understand that for products sold through us, warranty support will be provided "only through us." Please note that we do not provide support through other companies or distributors located in Japan.
