What is the maximum power rating for ACL Race Series bearings?
<L>An engine's power rating can be tuned in various ways, each with different impacts on the loads and stresses borne by the bearings. All of the following methods affect bearing load:
- Increasing redline engine speed <L>
- Increasing turbo boost / cylinder pressure <L>
- Changing timing and cam profiles <L>
- Use of lower viscosity oils or higher engine temperatures <L>
- Changes in crankshaft / connecting rod / piston design <L>
- Changes in cylinder dimensions (boring, stroke, decking cylinder heads)
Consequently, it is only practical to limit the issue to "maximum specific bearing load." This is the maximum load spread across the projected area of the bearing. To determine this, engine builders must understand peak cylinder pressures and balance these forces with inertial loads (acceleration of piston and connecting rod mass). Generally speaking, the material and design of ACL Race bearings allow for great flexibility in upgrading engine performance with an excellent balance of strength and tolerance. The trade-off is that higher loads lead to shorter lifespan. ACL Race bearings are rarely used at absolute maximum output, but they perform well in street machines where normal engine life is expected, as well as in "Top Fuel" dragster engines where, despite bearing loads of several hundred MPa, lifespan is measured in seconds.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of settlement. An estimate of shipping costs will be automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with enough time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to check delivery times. All products are transported via air freight. They will not be shipped by sea freight.
○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
In principle, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese vehicle inspection system," and we cannot provide strength evaluation documents for that purpose. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.

Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product.
