ACL Aluglide® Aluminum-Silicon Con Rod Bearings
By adding silicon as an alloying element to the aluminum-tin family of bearing materials, the material has been upgraded to a next-generation performance material. With global mandates for lead-free vehicles now in effect, this is currently the choice of most OE manufacturers. A further advantage of aluminum-tin-silicon bearings is their superior wear resistance, which extends the service life of these components.
However, please be aware that not all aluminum-tin-silicon bearing materials are the same. Look at the micrographs below and compare the cast microstructure of ACL strips with "Brand X." The two are vastly different. The carefully selected alloying elements and heat treatment used by ACL have been proven through rigorous OE testing and are truly lead-free.

〇 Regarding Import Consumption Tax
At the Shaft-ya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there are no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇Confirmation of Compatibility
All product databases are based on North American vehicles (USDM), so please confirm compatibility with Japanese vehicles (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure whether a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to check for you.)
If you place an order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and vehicle model using the tabs on our top page, this does not necessarily mean they are compatible with Japanese-model vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. There may be confusing expressions, so please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of settlement. Estimates for shipping costs are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may occasionally differ significantly from the amount automatically calculated. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with enough time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us to confirm delivery times in advance. Note that all products are transported by air; they are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
The products we handle are basically all designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide documents such as strength calculation reports for the purpose of the Japanese vehicle inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents of your order immediately upon arrival. As all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be damage to packaging boxes or products due to shipping. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement products if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding products with shipping damage, defective products, or items different from what was ordered. Furthermore, regarding products sold through us, we will only handle warranty-related matters "through our company." Please note that we do not handle matters through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
