Overview
Modern turbocharged engines recirculate crankcase blow-by gases back into the intake tract via the factory PCV system.
While effective for emissions regulations, these gases contain oil vapor, fuel, and moisture, which accumulate in the intake manifold over time. These contaminants promote carbon buildup on intake valves, effectively lower the fuel's octane rating, and increase the risk of knocking.
The PRL Helix Air Oil Separator (AOS) removes these impurities before they are returned to the intake system, keeping the intake tract clean and supporting consistent engine performance without compromising factory driving characteristics.
At the heart of the PRL AOS is a uniquely designed internal helix that generates controlled centrifugal force within the canister.
As blow-by gas enters the unit, heavy oil particles, fuel, and moisture are forced outward by centrifugal force, condensing on the inner walls of the canister and collecting at the bottom. The purified air is returned to the intake system, maintaining closed-loop control and ensuring proper fueling is not disrupted.
This product is serviceable and requires periodic draining based on climate and driving conditions. Maintenance is particularly important for the 1.5T engine due to its high volume of blow-by.
The PRL Helix AOS is designed and manufactured in-house, featuring a CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum body with a durable hard-anodized finish.
The body is available in either a black or silver anodized finish and is paired with a laser-cut and CNC-bent 304 stainless steel mounting bracket. Additionally, billet aluminum line clamps (black anodized) are included to prevent friction and vibration between the intake pipes and outlet hoses.
It uses custom-molded reinforced rubber hoses, billet aluminum fittings, a billet check valve, and chemical-resistant Viton O-rings to ensure long-term durability and a clean, factory-level installation.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically upon entering your delivery address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international transit takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow ample time for delivery. If you need your order urgently, please contact us for a delivery estimate in advance. Please note that all products are transported by air; sea freight is not used.
○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
All products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not comply with Japan’s vehicle inspection (Shaken) system, and we cannot provide structural study documents or similar documentation for Japanese inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for "circuit, private property, and off-road use only," and their installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please inspect the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally, there may occasionally be shipping damage to packaging or the products themselves. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for shipping-damaged items, defective products, or incorrect items if you notify us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through our company, all warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
