This spool is meticulously crafted from a 4140 chromoly billet and machined to precise tolerances, ensuring that the left and right wheels remain locked at all times. They are ideal for applications such as drag racing or drifting, where it is necessary to apply equal torque to both wheels and optimize acceleration potential.

Unlike factory or aftermarket mechanical LSDs, which can crack or break under the grueling conditions of motorsport, Speed Tek spools offer superior durability.

Weighing less than 5 kg, these units provide significant performance benefits. Reduced weight means less force is required to rotate the mass, resulting in improved acceleration and less stress on the drivetrain.

Compatible with JZA70 Supra, JZX90/JZX100/JZX110, 86 (ZN6), BRZ, etc.

The product is nitrided after the machining process is complete.

What is nitriding?
A heat treatment process that diffuses nitrogen into the surface of the metal to harden it. These processes are most commonly used for low-carbon, low-alloy steels. They are also used for medium-carbon steels, high-carbon steels, titanium, aluminum, and molybdenum.

What are the benefits of the optional Isotropic Superfinishing?
It is a surface finishing process that creates a highly smooth surface with minimal roughness. It helps extend the life of steel chromoly shift forks and allows them to operate more smoothly.

By creating an extremely smooth surface, it reduces friction between the shift forks and other components. This reduces wear and extends the service life of the shift forks.
