Perrin Performance WRX/STI Front Mount Intercooler
The most important part of an intercooler system is the core. The core cools the intake charge on its way to the engine. Subaru's OEM tube-and-fin intercooler is designed for ease of manufacturing, but it performs poorly. The PERRIN intercooler core is 28 inches long x 9.25 inches high x 3.5 inches deep, with a volume of 906.5 cu-in. The PERRIN intercooler achieves an optimal overall design regarding cooling and pressure drop. Every PERRIN intercooler is powder coated, which provides additional protection against the elements and keeps it looking great for years to come. Our intercoolers are available in two finish options: Bright Silver or Stealth Black powder coat.
Our intercooler support beam is made of boxed steel and finished in a black powder coat. Competitors use cheaper aluminum bumper beams, which reduces weight slightly but is easily destroyed in a collision. The PERRIN-engineered end tanks control the hot air to ensure almost perfect distribution across the entire intercooler core. By removing the 90-degree corners and adding a smooth, gradual taper from top to bottom, turbulence is eliminated. Each end tank incorporates innovative mounting tabs to secure the core to the support beam.
PERRIN boost tubes are CNC mandrel-bent from aluminum tubing to reduce weight. All boost tubes have oversized beaded ends to ensure that hose clamps and couplers stay connected and sealed. We select the smoothest and shortest path for air to travel to and from the intercooler. The PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler Kit includes a PERRIN coolant overflow tank. It provides additional clearance to improve boost tube routing, holds more coolant than the previous design, and uses the OEM tank cap for an excellent seal. The PERRIN coolant overflow tank is protected from the elements by a black textured powder coat.

〇Confirmation of Compatibility
Our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether or not a part can be installed on a Japanese vehicle (JDM) before placing your order. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to look into it for you.)
If you place an order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by model year, manufacturer, and vehicle model using the tabs on our home page, this does not necessarily mean they are compatible with Japanese-spec vehicles without modification.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of settlement. An estimate for shipping costs will be automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
Essentially, all products are shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping within Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow plenty of time for your order. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. All products are transported by air; they are never shipped by sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
The products we handle are essentially designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide documents such as strength calculation reports for Japanese vehicle inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product itself. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for damaged, defective, or incorrect items if notified within 7 days of receipt. Furthermore, for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through us." Please note that we do not handle support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
