Subaru WRX Front Mount Intercooler (by Perrin Performance)
The most critical part of an intercooler system is the core. The core cools the charge air as it travels to the engine. Subaru's OEM tube-and-fin intercoolers are designed for ease of manufacturing, but perform poorly. The PERRIN intercooler core measures 28 inches long x 9.25 inches high x 3.5 inches deep, with a volume of 906.5 cu-in. PERRIN intercoolers achieve an optimal overall design for cooling and pressure drop. Every PERRIN intercooler is powder-coated, providing extra protection against the elements and ensuring a great look for years to come. Our intercoolers are available in two finish options: Bright Silver or Stealth Black powder coat.
Our intercooler support beam is made of boxed steel and black powder-coated. Competitors use cheaper aluminum bumper beams, which reduce weight slightly but shatter easily in a collision. PERRIN-engineered end tanks control the hot air to ensure near-perfect distribution across the intercooler core. By removing 90-degree corners and adding a smooth, gradual taper from top to bottom, turbulence is eliminated. Each end tank incorporates innovative mounting tabs to secure the core to the support beam.
PERRIN boost tubes are CNC mandrel-bent from aluminum tubing for weight reduction. All boost tubes feature oversized beaded ends, ensuring that hose clamps and couplers stay connected and sealed. We choose the smoothest and shortest path for air to travel to and from the intercooler. The PERRIN front-mount intercooler kit includes a PERRIN coolant overflow tank. This provides extra clearance for improved boost tube routing, holds more coolant than the previous design, and uses an OEM tank cap for a superior seal. The PERRIN coolant overflow tank is protected from the elements by a black textured powder coating.

Our product database is based primarily on North American vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether the product can be installed on a Japanese vehicle (JDM) before ordering. If you place an order without confirming fitment, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping cost estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. All products are generally shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping within Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow ample time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. All products are transported via air freight. They are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
The products we handle are generally designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the purpose of the Japanese vehicle inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private land, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges for damaged items, defective products, or incorrect items if notified within 7 days of receipt. Please understand that for products sold through our company, warranty support will be handled "only through us." We do not handle support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
