Engine Bearings

Racing is the ultimate laboratory for testing bearings. It’s the load an engine bearing endures when it pushes against the ground—the load that drives a race car 400 meters in 4 seconds or launches 10,000 pounds.

At KING Engine Bearings, we learn from these racing experiences and apply what we have learned to the production of better bearings. For both race engines and everyday station wagons. Racers such as Eddie Hill and Jay Payne have benefited from KING innovations such as the following:

"Alecular" Bearing Material -- KING has developed this alternative to traditional tri-metal bearing construction. KING bearings feature a single deep (0.012" - 0.015") layer of Alecular material—a unique alloy of aluminum, tin, copper, and other metals—on a steel backing. This results in superior embeddability.

"Bull's Eye" Bearing Wall Tolerance -- Advanced quality control procedures allow KING to maintain incredibly tight tolerances for rod and main bearing wall thickness. Plus or minus .0001" -- much tighter than other manufacturers.

"MaxFlange" -- A manufacturing principle that allows racers and street engine builders to save their engines. Precisely controlled bearing flange length is the secret to achieving a tight crankshaft endplay situation without extra machining.

Ceramic Coating

To enhance friction reduction and anti-galling properties from your bearings, our advanced dry-film lubricant ceramic coating is a must. This coating bonds at 20 millionths of an inch, so there is no need to change clearances. By buffing this coating to "0" tolerance while retaining its properties, it significantly reduces power-robbing friction and actively maintains an oil film—even after sitting for months or when oil is depleted during high-G racing—minimizing the potential for bearing wear. It is an essential item for those seeking bottom-end safety and longevity.

Before Ordering

〇 Regarding Import Consumption Tax
At Shaftoya Shopping Site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there will be no additional charges beyond the total amount paid at checkout.

〇Checking Compatibility
Our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether or not parts can be installed on Japanese vehicles (JDM) before placing an order. (If you are unsure whether a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you place an order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if items are sorted by selecting the year, make, and vehicle model in the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese models without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.

○ Regarding Delivery
Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.

In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow yourself plenty of time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Please note that all products are transported by air; they are not shipped by sea.

○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
In principle, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents for that purpose. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.

○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packing boxes or products. Please understand that we will only respond to returns, refunds, or exchanges for products with shipping damage, defective products, or products different from what was ordered if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be provided "only through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
