BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. All BC camshaft profiles are prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being put into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measuring gauges. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10 of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, can measure 200 parts per hour.
