Developed and extensively tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature remote reservoirs and are designed for easy installation without vehicle modifications. They provide exceptional end-zone damping to ensure a comfortable ride on the street while offering superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is widely adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing you to significantly alter the vehicle's ride and custom-tune it to specific conditions or vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized coating, ensuring excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips. Beyond being designed, developed, and tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, every BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured in-house by ARB. To achieve this, significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machining equipment to maintain complete control over the manufacturing process and ensure the highest possible quality.
