It locks instantly at the flip of a switch, and its ultra-durable design allows for activation at any speed, letting you tackle the most grueling terrain. The advantage of the Air Locker lies in the pneumatically operated locking system inside the differential. When engaged, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating, which in turn prevents the axle shafts from rotating independently of each other. With both wheels directly coupled to the rotation of the ring gear, maximum traction is maintained at all times. When unlocked, it functions as a conventional open differential.
