Cobb Tuning SF Intake Airbox
This C.A.R.B. approved intake and integrated airbox looks great and combines the benefits of a short ram intake and a cold air intake, with no downsides. The system utilizes several unique features to maintain optimal flow for performance while minimizing turbulence that could cause engine management issues. It uses a CFD-designed velocity stack that leads to a proprietary airflow straightener grid from a custom conical cloth air filter element. This straightener grid is specifically designed to smooth out the incoming airflow as it passes the mass airflow sensor, allowing for precise readings. This eliminates the "dead spots" experienced with other aftermarket intakes caused by turbulence. No other aftermarket intake system for Subaru utilizes these critical design elements. To provide a system that looks as good as the technical advancements occurring inside, we have adopted an integrated design constructed from high-temperature plastic composites. This not only reduces weight compared to previous metal designs, but the plastic composite material also provides much better heat shielding properties, keeping intake temperatures lower. In contrast, intake systems built using metal castings or piping can actually retain heat under the hood and heat up the intake air. The SF Air Box adds the benefits of a cold air intake to the superior performance of the SF Intake. The factory air inlet directs cold air from the front grille to the SF Air Box surrounding the SF intake. This prevents horsepower-robbing hot engine bay air from entering the intake system. Furthermore, this unique design separates rainwater from the intake, eliminating the water ingestion problems that plague fender-mounted cold air intakes.
Note: As with all aftermarket intakes for 2008+ Subaru STI and WRX models, proper tuning is required to achieve safe engine performance. Cobb Tuning offers Accessport Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps optimized for the SF Intake.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow plenty of time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us to check delivery times in advance. All products are shipped via air freight. They are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
Generally, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with "Japanese vehicle inspection standards," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the Japanese inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. As all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to packaging boxes or the products themselves. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges for items with shipping damage, defective products, or products different from what was ordered if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through our company, warranty-related support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not handle support through other companies or distributors located in Japan.
