2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R Performance Shifter Cables by Hybrid Racing
Hybrid Racing shifter cables are a performance-upgraded replacement for stock OEM cables. With solid rod ends, permanently lubricated cores, spherical bearings, and aluminum end links, Hybrid Racing cables provide a firmer, tighter feel than OEM cables, resulting in fewer missed shifts and a better connection to the chassis. Heat resistant up to 225°F, with a maximum bend radius of 5 inches (for optimal longevity).
We have developed cables that provide peace of mind and improve driving performance during aggressive shifting and demanding race applications. Hybrid Racing performance cables achieve this goal.
Other notable features of Hybrid Racing cables include spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and an upgraded stainless steel swivel support tube (OEM is plastic), which is known to break on OEM cables. All rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, black anodized, and then laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo and flare.
Are these cables a direct replacement for OEM shifter cables? Yes! The aluminum bushings make installation slightly easier. More importantly, they eliminate another plastic part that is prone to bending on OEM cables, leading to a sloppy shifting feel.
Because these cables are designed with motorsport applications in mind, there will be increased NVH. More transmission noise and vibration may be transmitted into the cabin. Please note that while minimal, it may not be as quiet as stock parts, given that the 10th Gen Civic has a large amount of interior panels and a deep console.
What is included with these shifter cables? The kit comes with 2 shifter cables. Each set includes 2 cotter pins and clips for the shifter ends. New hardware for the shifter cable mounting plate that attaches to the transmission bracket is also included. You will reuse the OEM center bracket and cable seals.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our U.S. warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping within Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with time to spare. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Note that all products are transported by air; they are not shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
Essentially, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please understand that they do not comply with the "Japanese vehicle inspection system" at all, and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the Japanese inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "circuit, private property, or off-road use," and installation and use are at your own risk.

Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging or the product itself. We only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for products with shipping damage, defective products, or incorrect items if notified within 7 days of receipt.
