Old Man Emu brings race-proven technology to your everyday adventures: BP-51 (Bypass 51mm diameter bore) shock absorbers feature revolutionary, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on-road and off-road performance. Developed and rigorously tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore bypass shocks with remote reservoirs can be installed without vehicle modifications. They offer both a comfortable ride in the city and exceptional chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance can be easily adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in ride quality and custom tuning tailored to conditions and vehicle setup. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized coating for superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and stone-chip protection. In addition to being designed, developed, and tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, every BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, ARB has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machining equipment to maintain full control over the manufacturing process and ensure the highest possible quality.
