With the flick of a switch, the Air Locker instantly engages, and its incredibly robust design allows it to operate at any speed to handle even the most grueling terrain. The advantage of the Air Locker lies in its pneumatically operated locking system located inside the differential. When activated, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating, thereby preventing the axle shafts from spinning independently. Since both wheels are locked directly to the rotation of the ring gear, maximum traction is maintained at all times. When disengaged, it functions just like a conventional open differential. Vehicles equipped with an Air Locker can be driven more slowly, safely, and in a controlled manner, significantly reducing the risk of vehicle damage and environmental impact.
