Mazda RX7 FD chassis angle kit with 62 degrees of lock. The original sway bar can be used. The lower control arms have adjustable shock motion ratios. If necessary, the steering rack can be lowered by up to 10mm. Adjustable lock stoppers.

  • Mazda RX7 Wisefab Lock Kit

    • For Mazda RX7 FD (1992–2002).
    • The steering rack can be used in its original position, but can be lowered by 10 mm if necessary.
    • 62-degree lock, parallel steering. You can adjust the steering geometry to positive or negative Ackermann in just a few minutes, even trackside, without disturbing the alignment.
    • Adjustable lock stoppers.
    • All steel components of the Wisefab RX7 front suspension are made of high-tensile steel, including sheet metal components, tubes, tube ends, and rod end housings. We use rod ends and spherical bearings; no rubber bushings are used.
    • Higher roll center (RC). The RX7 is equipped with double A-arm suspension, which is an excellent starting point for a race car. Lowering the car improves performance and handling, but ruins the original kinematics designed at the factory; the roll center drops and camber gain increases. With Wisefab knuckles, both joints are dropped, which raises the front RC when the car is lowered, providing higher roll stiffness, good camber control, and minimal bump steer at high steering angles. In drift cars, dynamic camber and bump steer are far more important than static camber and bump steer. Our kinematics ensure that the camber provides excellent front grip and bump steer is minimized across the entire steering range.
    • Steering jacking control. When steering, the car's chassis moves up and down. This is called jacking. Steering jacking is caused by a combination of caster, KPI, trail, and scrub. In road cars, this effect is sometimes used to balance the car or aid in turn-in. During drifting, when the steering angle becomes much larger, jacking becomes greater even with the same geometry, which can be problematic. We have modified the geometry to prevent handling issues.
    • Consistent and predictable self-aligning torque. Caster is not the only important parameter for providing sufficient self-aligning torque, especially at high lock. It is a combination of various parameters to maintain consistent trail and self-aligning torque. With our setup, the steering wheel always rotates in the direction of travel and does not get stuck at full lock.
    • Original sway bar can be used in the front.

    Other components, packaging, and clearance.

    This kit assumes sufficient clearance for coilovers.
    The ride height is designed to be a maximum of 80mm from the front subframe to the ground.
    Depending on rim width and ET, wider fenders or fender flares will be required.
    There is no need to modify the inner wheel wells for tire diameters up to 635mm (e.g., 215/45R17, 225/45R17, 235/40R17, 225/40R18). The minimum rim diameter is 17 inches.
    Recommended backspacing is ~135mm (7" ET45, 8" ET35, 9" ET20). If the ET is smaller, the wheels will sit further outward; if the ET is larger, spacers must be used.

    This kit is designed and manufactured to be ready for use after installation and toe adjustment.

  • The ride height is designed to be a maximum of 80 mm from the front subframe to the ground.
  • Depending on rim width and ET, wider fenders or fender flares will be required.
  • There is no need to modify the inner wheel wells for tire diameters up to 635 mm (e.g., 215/45R17, 225/45R17, 235/40R17, 225/40R18).
  • The minimum rim diameter is 17 inches.
  • Recommended backspacing is approximately 135 mm (7" ET45, 8" ET35, 9" ET20). If the ET is smaller, the wheels will sit further outward; if the ET is larger, spacers must be used.

    If you order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
    Please note that even if items are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and model in the tabs on our top page, it does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese market vehicles without modification.

    ○ Regarding Delivery
    Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.

    In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow yourself plenty of time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us to confirm the delivery date in advance. All products are transported via air freight. They are not shipped by sea.

    ○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
    In principle, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not conform to the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents for Japanese inspection purposes. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.

    ○ Regarding Warranty
    Please check the contents of your order immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging box or the product. For products with shipping damage, defective products, or products different from what you ordered, we will provide returns, refunds, or replacements only if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please understand that for products sold through us, warranty support will be provided "only through us." We do not handle warranty support through other companies or distributors located in Japan.
