The Sikky BMW E30 steering shaft assembly was developed to make swapping an E36 steering rack into an E30 easy. The low-profile design maximizes header clearance. When using a Sikky LS swap kit, an E30-E36 rack conversion and steering shaft upgrade are required. In designing this steering shaft assembly, we eliminated the rag joint used in the OEM shaft. This eliminates the notoriously sloppy and unresponsive feel of the OEM steering. By using precision CNC components, we achieve an extremely rigid and responsive feel. Regardless of whether you are swapping your car's engine, this is a fantastic upgrade for an E30. Includes two joints, a shaft, and hardware.

Special Notes:
Before ordering, please measure the diameter of your steering column and count the splines. BMW used several different steering columns on the E30 and E36 worldwide, and we have found that some do not fit or are not the same as what this steering shaft kit was designed for. In some cases, even if the spline count and diameter are correct, there may be a nub at the end of the steering column before the splines begin, which must be trimmed to blunt the end. The BMW steering column is also adjustable in length. In some cases, the end of the steering column may be close to the rack. You can adjust the length of the lower end of the column (rack side) back and forth to match the length of the Sikky steering shaft by loosening the lock nut near the steering wheel end of the rack.

If you place an order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and vehicle model in the tabs on our top page, this does not necessarily mean they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.

○ Regarding delivery
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic delivery in Japan, international delivery takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow yourself plenty of time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm delivery times. Note that all products are transported by air. They are never shipped by sea freight.
○ Regarding compliance with Japanese vehicle inspections
Basically, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not comply with the "Japanese vehicle inspection system" at all, and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar for the purpose of the Japanese vehicle inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private land, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be delivery damage to the packaging box or the product itself. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or exchanges for products with delivery damage, defective products, or products that differ from your order if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please also note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be provided "only through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
