〇 Regarding Import Consumption Tax
At Shaftoya, we pay the import consumption tax incurred during customs clearance on your behalf, so there will be no additional charges beyond the total paid at checkout.
〇 Checking Compatibility
All of our product databases are based on North American vehicles (USDM), so please verify compatibility with your Japanese vehicle (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure whether a listed product fits your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to check for you.)
If an order is placed without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by year, make, and model using the tabs on our homepage, it does not guarantee that they will fit Japanese-spec models without modification.
All product descriptions are translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing phrasing, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may occasionally differ significantly from the automated calculation. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow sufficient time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Please note that all products are transported by air freight; we do not use sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
All products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please understand that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide structural strength documentation or similar paperwork for these regulations. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "circuit, private property, or off-road use only," and installation and usage are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon delivery. As all products are shipped internationally from outside of Japan, there is a possibility of shipping damage to the packaging or the product. For items with shipping damage, defective products, or items different from what you ordered, we will only accept returns, refunds, or exchanges if contacted within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through our company." Please understand that we cannot provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
